Junior Carpenter - Crew Member

Job Description

Critical Responsibilities:

Completing carpentry tasks as required in time frames and quality requirements
Working on the jobsite “bags on” performing required carpentry and other tasks as needed
Communicating at a high frequency with your manager
Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Required Skills and Education

1 year experience in framing and/or finish carpentry
Valid driver’s license and have Reliable transportation
Must be legal to work in the USA and provide documentation showing such
Ability to Pass random drug testing
Must have common carpentry hand tools and carpentry tool bags. This includes, but is not limited to the following list of items: framing hammer, speed square, utility knife, nail pulling device (cat’s paw or other suitable puller), adjustable open-end wrench, torpedo level, chalk line, 1” or other suitable size chisel, and other industry standard hand tools required for general carpentry work
Must own proper clothing for carpentry work including clothing for extreme temperatures both high and low
Ability to do math required for carpentry tasks
Fluent in English in reading and writing, ability to speak Spanish also helpful but not required
Ability to follow directions and complete tasks as asked by lead carpenter
Ability to get along with others
Ability to follow instructions given by managers
Attention to detail and desire for doing projects correctly the first time
Ability to work continuously for complete shifts
Ability to focus on the job while working
Ability to listen attentively
Follow safety measures required for job
Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions
Ability to lift to 80 lbs., climb ladders, and be in good physical condition
