He is known for his insightful and understandable approach to explaining economic trends.\n\n\n\nRobert previously served in the Utah House of Representatives\, from 2014 to 2024. His service in the legislature included leading several committees\, including Executive Appropriations\, Rules\, Revenue and Taxation\, Health and Human Services\, and Public Education Appropriations.\n\n\n\nRobert serves on a number of boards and commissions\, including the Utah Hospital Association\, Utah Economic Council\, Envision Utah\, and the Intermountain Healthcare Canyons Regional Board.\n\n\n\nHis previous experience includes time as the Governor's Deputy Chief of Staff for Federal Relations\, the Governor's Chief Economist and the State Demographer.\n\n\n\nRobert received a Master's of Public Administration with an emphasis in economic public policy at the University of Utah.\n\n\n\nRobert is married\, the father of four children\, and three grandchildren.
